The myriad daily experiences people have with technology play a crucial role in shaping their identities. As creators or decision-makers of these technologies, the choices we make directly impact the products we create- in turn affecting the current and future realities of our teams, clients, customers and society. Therefore, it is critical for us to scrutinize our purpose, intent and goals, and make informed decisions during the process of creation.
Anticipatory design over reactionary solutions
Emerging technologies are convenient and helpful, but come with many unintended consequences. Rather than wait for negative impacts to show up, we use an anticipatory design approach as a guiding tool to help creators and decision-makers mitigate or nullify potential unintended impacts at strategy and design stages.
Human-centric, not just user-centric
​Most technologies place emphasis on closing problems, focusing on humans only as end-users, rather than thinking about the human aspects of the solutions. Our aim is to put equal emphasis on user-centric as well human-centric design, refocusing the opportunity for technology to support and enhance human goals along with business goals.
